Redragon K552 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, 87-Key Compact, LED Gaming Keyboard with Red Switches, Anti-Ghosting, Metal Frame for PC Gaming & Typing, Beginner-Friendly (Black)

Switches & Typing Feel

  • Uses Outemu mechanical switches (often Blue or Red variants):

    • Blue version: clicky, tactile, loud; light to press, good feedback but noisy for quiet rooms.

    • Red version: linear, smoother and quieter, better for fast gaming and shared spaces.

  • All 87 keys are full N‑key rollover (anti‑ghosting), so simultaneous keypresses in games register correctly.

Build, Layout & Size

  • Tenkeyless (87‑key) layout saves desk space but still has arrows and navigation keys, making it suitable for both gaming and typing/programming.

  • Metal‑plate + ABS body gives surprisingly sturdy construction at this price; minimal flex and stable keycaps.

RGB & Features

  • Rainbow/RGB backlighting with multiple preset modes (waves, breathing, reactive, etc.), adjustable brightness and speed directly from the keyboard (no software needed).

  • 12 Fn multimedia keys and Windows‑key lock for gaming sessions.

Limits & Who It Suits

  • Wired only, with no official software for key remapping or macros; lighting customization is basic and done on‑board.

  • Noise (especially on Blue switches) and higher profile make it less ideal for very quiet offices, but as a beginner‑friendly mechanical for gaming and daily use at low cost, it’s a strong option.
